Self-contained braking that works behind any RV, SUV or truck.

The hydraulic surge brake system is fully self-contained, which means it works behind any tow vehicle without a brake controller and without wiring into the RV's electrical system. That keeps wear and stress off the tow vehicle.

Surge braking works on inertia: as the tow vehicle slows, the trailer pushes forward against the hitch, driving DOT 3 fluid from the actuator into two 10" drum brakes. Braking force scales automatically with how hard you stop.

For RV owners, a tow dolly remains the most cost-effective way to bring a vehicle along — no driveline disconnect on most front-wheel-drive cars, and far less to store than a full car hauler.
